Genshiken2 EP12-2

Sasahara fell asleep while he was looking at the rejection letter again. In his dream, he’s working as an professional editor at some big publishing company.

Sasahara: Query manuscripts? All right, can I take a look at your drafts?

He shows up in a meeting room, where a young woman has been waiting for him.

Woman: Yes!

She takes out manuscripts out of the envelop.

Sasahara: Mm…

He’s relaxed to go through her drafts, while she’s being so nervous.

Sasahara: Frankly speaking, did you really want to write this?

Woman: Well…

Sasahara: Is this really what you want to do? What you want to write? It doesn’t look so to me. It looks like some cheap tricks, though. Aren’t you wandering off? Maybe you should stop and think again what you really want to write seriously.

As he’s proudly giving her the advice, some guy appears next to her.

Kugayama: Then, what do you really want to do?

Ogiue: How can you tell me such a thing?

The young woman turned out to be Ogiue and looks pretty disappointed with him. Just then, Sasahara wakes from the nightmare. He’s been surrounded by garbage in his room. He looks at himself in the mirror at the bathroom and finds out him even growing dirty beard.

Sasahara: I haven’t talked to Ogiue at all so long…

Today, he comes to a job interview at some construction company. It’s apparently not the kind he’s interested in working but he has no choice.

Man: Why did you apply for the public information?

Sasahara: Yes, no matter how excellent the product is, we can’t get it to the customer without broad public recognition. I’m going to work to make sure that the customer precisely understand how good our product is!

He’s speaking unusually aloud today so he looks like a lively guy, although I don’t know if it worked well. Then, he moves on to another job interview by train in the evening.
